Brief Summary of your
Warranty
(Please be sure to read the warranty book for specific
warranty standards, definitions, and limits to coverage.)
Year
1: Workmanship and
Materials-
In the first year of the warranty period, should any
covered warranty item fail to meet the state mandated quality standards,
Aspen Building Corp. will correct them.
Year
1 & 2: Major Systems-
For the first two years, portions of the major systems in your home are
warranted. These include HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical systems. If these
systems fail to operate as specified by the state mandated guidelines, Aspen Building
Corp. will provide repair service.
Years
1 - 10: Structural
Elements- In the
highly unlikely event that your home develops a warranted
structural defect, your Warranty includes protection for ten years. Any such
warranted defect is covered by Aspen Building Corporation for the first two
years, and by Residential Warranty Corporations Insurers in years 3 through
10.
Service
Processing Procedures
You
can help us to serve you better by providing complete information, including:
Ø Name,
address, and phone numbers where you can be reached during
business hours.
Ø A
complete description of the problem, for example, "guest
bath—cold water line leaks
under
sink," rather than "plumbing problem."
When
we receive a warranty service request, we may contact you for an inspection
appointment. Warranty inspection appointments are available Monday through
Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 P.M. Once inspected, items will be processed by one of
the following three categories -
1.
Trade
contractor item
2.
In-house
item
If
a trade contractor or an in-house employee is required to complete repairs, we
issue a warranty work order and the repair technician contacts you to schedule
the work. Warranty work appointments are available Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.
to 4 p.m. We intend to complete warranty work orders within 30 work days of the
inspection unless you are unavailable for access. If a back-ordered part or
similar circumstance causes a delay, we will let you know.

Home
Maintenance item
If
the item is home maintenance, we will review the maintenance steps with you and
offer whatever informational assistance we can. Aspen
does not provide routine home maintenance.
Reporting
Warranty Items
Aspen
requests that you always put your warranty requests in writing. Although calling the
office may seem a little easier, phone messages provide no solid documentation,
for either you, or Aspen. That's why all non-emergency
warranty requests should be in writing.

issues: contact
the manufacturer directly with model and serial number, closing
date, and description of problem.
Nonemergency
Storm damage
or other natural
disaster: Contact
your homeowner's insurance agent immediately. Contain damage
as much as possible without endangering yourself. In extreme situations,
photograph the damage.
